Mesay Gebresilassie is a highly experienced and board-certified family nurse practitioner, as well as the founder of Solabe Family Health. With over nine years of experience as a nurse practitioner, Mr. Gebresilassie has delivered comprehensive care across various settings, including hospital medicine, primary care, urgent care, and geriatric services. He has effectively served patients in assisted living facilities, nursing homes, rehabilitation centers, and through in-home visits, with a specialization in geriatric care throughout Maryland and Washington, D.C.
In addition to his significant clinical experience, Mr. Gebresilassie possesses specialized expertise in wound care and has dedicated nearly two years to mental health, providing compassionate treatment for adults and geriatric patients.
Prior to his role as a nurse practitioner, Mr. Gebresilassie worked as a registered nurse for more than seven years in intensive care units (ICU), emergency departments, telemetry, and medical-surgical units at prominent institutions, including the University of Maryland Medical Center, Georgetown University Hospital, and the VA Hospital.
He earned his Master of Science in Nursing (Family Nurse Practitioner) from Bowie State University and completed a post-master’s certificate in Psychiatric Mental Health from Wilkes University.
